About Us

The inception of Herb Route is recent, but its seeds were sown a decade ago. As a mother of two growing kids, I always wanted to pack the healthiest lunch or have the freshest salad greens on our dinner table. Being a Microbiologist, it made my task even more difficult as I soon realized that there is a gap here between “What looks healthy, and what really is” especially when it comes to edible greens. In an attempt to bridge this gap, I embarked upon this exciting journey to grow my own bunches of organic spinach, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, root vegetables and a lot more right in my own balcony space which thrives to date.

But I did not want to stop here. The desire to nurture fresh edible greens actually paved the path ahead, inspiring me to practice Hydroponics. What started with an initial stint got converted into a thriving indoor farm in course of time.

Simply put this blog is not just about gardening or its complicated botanical jargons. It’s more about the most cherished experiences we run into during the process of creating something beautiful with plants.
