Hydroponics fodder is young grass grown from a cereal grain, mostly barley sprouts, although wheat,sunflower, sorghum and legumes such as peas, can also be grown. It can be considered as a cheap, fresh green feed. Hydroponic production requires a temperature and humidity controlled growing environment, which produces fast growth (usually harvestable within 7 days) and good nutritional value in the fodder.
